When removing a cast, it is used to open the cast (previously cut with Stille or Brun cast shears or an oscillating electric saw) in order to remove it.
Equipped with flat jaws, posing no risk to the patient, this spreader allows strong pressure to be easily applied to the edges of the cast to free the limb.
It can be cleaned in a machine or by hand with a cleaning product that does not corrode stainless steel.
